Mutliple copy with SE

I have a device 0177 in group GRPfamieR1
I have already create a local ( DMX 1966 ) and remote ( DMX 2143 ) clone.
But I can't create a second clone on DMX2143. I have the following message "A Copy session has already been created for the specified pair". What is the mistake ?

To Clarify, the software is not wrong, what is happening here is the RAID-5 BCV establish with the symmir command is actually creating a SDDF Session and a clone session for the relationship between the 2 devices.

If this has not been cleaned up with the symmir -g groupname cancel

You can't do any clone operations on the target device here until this relationship has been removed as the session information still exists in the symmetrix

Sounds like you are using a raid 5 bcv and haven't done a cancel before doing the clone establish.

Are you using Sol. Enabler up to version 6.3.1 ??

If your answer is yes, it looks like a known issue .. have a look at emc152933 or simply upgrade to S.E. 6.4.2 ...

I have try a new combination but always problem with the fourth clone

jldesroches, I have taken the liberty of Dialing into you symm to have a look at this issue for you. I need you to raise a service request with the support centre to get this resolved.

It seems that there may be an issue with the copy sessions on device 0177, We will need the PSE lab to look at this device and clear session information between device 0177 and 3AB.

Quote Primus emc121529

I can pick up the case straight away if this comes in on my shift. Please have place in notes that Paul ext 5915 in Cork has stated that he will take this SR immediately.

Are you bored ??

If you want I can open a couple of SR on our DMX3 ;-) and put them in your wip bin :D

Stefano, well said..

This is a good way of phrasing what I meant to say, I will use these words again :)

ok, anyway i'm curious, how symmir/symdev/symclone can show no link between devices and reject any demand with symclone having a link error between devices ?

Solution Enabler, while looking complex and extensive, gives you a simplified view of what's really going into the box. Sometime the only way to retrive some informations is to use inline commands.
