How can i remove or disassociate a bcv Paired with a BCV device.

This was one of the queries on PowerLink in the past month.

Extract from Solution emc62647 How to disassociate a BCV from an STD device

In TimeFinder, a BCV that is split from its STD device causes invalid tracks to be built on devices that are owed to the BCV or STD, which will be copied over the next time a re-establish takes place. . .

Sorry...but this Forums is a bit confusing.

Is the moderator posting a question ? or what ? It says 7 posts to the left, but I can't seem to get to those 7 posts. I don't see an answer here, just a reference to something about it. But if you are going to post the answer, then post the link/url to get to it.

Sorry.....you have a ways to go on this site. I get better results from HP's ITRC Forums and the format (although this seems to be emulating the idea) isn't quite there yet.

Hey Rita
Yes you're quite right, we do have a long way to go.

When we started up last week, in the spirit of not having empty forums but not pretending I was anyone other than who I am (an EMC moderator) I added a post to most brand new forums mentioning a Support Solution. In those first days I couldn't add the direct link, now I can and have done to this one.

This one is confusing I guess because I made use of a customer's question to Powerlink as a heading, but I set it as a simple post, with a real question you see a different icon.

To find all of my other posts: click on my name or alias to the left, this will show both my profile and a list of all the posts I have made.

Cheers

Julie
