I also tried adding agentID.txt file under /etc/Navisphere and removed Hostidfile.txt from /var/log and then stopped and started naviagent, but that still did not help. /var/log/hostidfile.txt shows a different ip than the one i need it. Is there any other way we could do this?

I assume at this time we are talking about RHEL 4 or RHEL 3. Both of these implement the linux-iscsi driver which does not allow you to configure a particular NIC to a particular CLARiiON portal. This driver issues an iSCSI SEND_TARGETS to the array, the array responds with all of it target portals, and the driver tries to log into each one through each NIC. My assumption is you question is in regards to the flood of UNABLE TO CONNECT messages in /var/log/messages. This will not change.

However, do not despair. Works upstream in the open-iscsi driver used in RHEL 5 and SLES 10 to create an IFACE variable so you can attach a NIC to a target portal of your choosing.
