Disassociate and Reconfigure RBCV/BCV to STD Device

I need to remove several meta RBCV's from SRDF/A device group, terminate the clone session and convert them to STD devices. The disassociate is not a problem, but when I attempt to terminate clone session or convert devices, It's complaining that the devices are in a held state. Thanks. lineman

Hi,

I've moved this thread into the more appropriate "Symmetrix" forum.

Thanks,

And on more advice I've moved it into the Solutions Enabler forum, bit of a discussion point exactly where this forum should reside, but we'll keep it here in Host Software for now.

Lineman,

When a clone session is active, the target device will be "held".

Make sure that you have no active clone sessions (symclone list) and terminate any that are running for your set of devices.

Once you're certain no clone sessions are active, you can check to see if the symm thinks they are still held using symdev -held list.

If they show up there you can attempt to "unhold" them using "symdev unhold xxx" (where xxx is the device number)
