Different symmaskdb list outputs from two hosts

I'm issuing the following command from two different host attached to the same Symm:

symmaskdb -sid 000287751109 -wwn 50060b000021e518 list devs | wc -l

From one host (the one with the HBA with the requested WWN) I'm getting "0" results, while from another host I'm getting "109" devices. I've tried to backup-delete-rediscover the symapi db from the host showing 0 results, but the output is the same. I've issued a symcfg discover on both hosts.

The host do have 109 devices. The SE version is 6.0.2. It's attached to a DMX2000.

Any ideas?

The strange thing is that wc reports zero lines. I suspect that symcli isn't working correctly on the host reporting "0" lines. If you pipe output of symmaskdb to wc, you should have lines in output. Can you run the command without "wc -l" and paste output??

I've already issued a symcfg discover on both hosts... multiple times actually. The problem persists.

run symcfg discover on the host you are getting 0 device.

Ok, there was no output. An ls -l from the bin directory reveals that the symmaskdb command has 0kb. Someone actually did something the the file, corrupted it, deleted it... Replacing the command from another host solved the problem.

Thank you for the tip.
