Command to Restore brbcv to R2

I am trying to determine the correct syntax of symmir to restore an R2 device group from the brbcv's. We had a restore script written by EMC to this and tied it for the first time yesterday. There was an option to pass the script (-2) to indicate you want to restore the remote brbcv's to the remote R2's. Unfortunately the script failed to do this and restored the local bcv's to the standard production devices cause major oracle database corruption. This critical database was down for about 7 hours before we were able to recover it. In the script it uses the following command:

symmir -g device_group_name -noprompt restore

-rdf I believe, but can't check that now... check symmir manual as I could be wrong of course.

remember to use the -protective option. Without this option you will in effect mirror from source to target as you do the target. You will be overwritting the target as your trying to restore.

From the above, the "-rdf" option is needed to specify that the command is targetted at the remote frame and the remote BCV associated with the device group.
