checking failover mode on AIX host from host command

what is the AIX command to check the failover mode setting for the host? We hear that it must be set to 3 to allow NDU code upgrades for Clariion. The only way I know to check it is to bring up the failover wizard and select the host and assume the choices that show are the current settings and then cancel back out.

what IP address is that? the IP to use seemed to be the confusion on sys admin's end.

do it from the command line on a system that has Navi cli and network connection to one of the storage processors:

NaviSeccli.exe -user username -password yourpassword -scope 0 -address 10.1.1.22 port -list -failovermode|grep -E "Server Name|Failover mode"

Any reason you can not just use the Navisphere GUI to check the failover mode from that end? May be more efficient if you need to check multiple hosts.

You would find this under "Connectivity Status" => "Info" for each HBA on the host.

Actually Flare24 code for Navisphere and Clariion has built in reporting now, one of which will show the failover mode status of all attached hosts..
