AIX & NPIV on VIOS w/ Native MPIO and ODM. Is ODM required on the VIOS?
Hi,
I'm in the middle of configuring a bunch of AIX servers connected to a VMAX 20K running 5876.
We have test luns presented to the VIOC's running on top of several IBM 740's running VIOS in NPIV mode.
We've loaded correct ODM definitions on the VIOC's and things appear to work fine, just wondering if we also need to load ODM's on the physical VIOS as well.
Host connectivity guide for AIX does not spell out configurations for NPIV other than 'it is supported'. Hope someone knows an answer to this and thank you in advance.
(A primus or something would be awesome)

Just wanted to follow up since no one has replied yet.
We got a conditional approval through RPQ for the above. ODM not required on VIOS if we're using NPIV mode / passthrough to the VIOCs.
