Equallogic ps6000
I have a PS6000xv storage with 8 2TB SATA disks all from the same WD model.
But I can not find more disks of this model, I can replace another disk of qq to mark with the same characteristics, 2 TB, SATA same speed without problems?
Thank you

Hello,
The drives for the EQL arrays are made especially for them by the drive MFR. A standard OEM drive is not going to work. You would have to find used EQL drives from a 3rd party vendor. There's also no way to update an OEM drive to EQL supportability either.

Thanks for the feedback, but I no longer use EQL drivers I use OEM WD disks already for 2 years, but now one has failed but it did not find the same template and tag, so the question is if I can change it to another disk with the same characteristics more than other brand or model understood?
Thank you

Hello,
That isn't something I can advise you on since it's not supported. Using random disks can have very unpredictable results. Including potential for data loss.
