Dell PS4210 control module battery

Hi all,
I have a Dell PS4210 storage with two model 70-0485(type 19) controllers.
Batteries in both controllers need to be replaced, the current installed exact model:
NEX-900926
I've ordered two new ones, model Dell NEX-900926-A.
Does anyone know if there should be a problem ? Are both models compatible ?

Thanks,
Noam

Hi,

I believe the difference in model number appears to be a suffix added to the original model number, which often indicates a minor revision that shouldn't affect compatibility. But, for complete peace of mind, check the Dell sale site. I've checked our spare system to check battery part numbers and I found the ones below. Please take a look at them.

4VKD1       Kit Accessory Battery Backup, 2 Cell, Lithium Ion, 6.6 Volts
K4PPV       Kit Accessory Battery Backup, 2 Cell, Lithium Ion, 7.3 Volts

Hope that helps!

@DELL-Erman O Hi Erman,

Just checked and yes, the that I've ordered is Dell P/N: K4PPV.

Thanks!

If you are replacing the batteries yourself please make sure you pop out the SD cards at the back of the controllers before removing the old battery.

The is a risk of the old battery sending out one last discharge as you unplug it that can fry them if you don't pop them out.
