When USB connected to HP E24 G5 monitors, both Dell Optiplex Micro 7010 and Optiplex 5000 PC will not POST
We are a mixed Dell and HP environment and we have ran into an issue involving Dell PCs when connected to the HP E24 G5 monitor via USB. When connected via any USB port on the Dell, the machines will not appear to power on at all. We have tried this with multiple monitors/PCs/cables and machines have been fully updated via command update. The PC will power on instantly when the USB is disconnected. This issue does not seem to happen with G4 HP monitors or any other tested monitor thus far. It also does not happen with any of the HP PCs tested. We did get one 7010 to work correctly following a BIOS update, but a subsequent reboot following a BIOS setting change to have the device power on after power loss resulted in the issue returning. To be clear, the monitor is connected by both USB and DP. Only the USB connection is causing problems. Need guidance on how to correct this. Thanks in advance for any assistance.
