Dell Command Update - command line switch question

Can someone explain exactly what the /driverinstall switch does?

This is the description in the documentation:

This CLI option installs all the base drivers for the present configuration on a newly installed Windows operating system.

How is this different than running dcu-cli.exe with /scan and /applyupdates?
