Precision T7810/5810 Freezing on Reboot (OSD)
We have recently received a Precision T7810/5810 and I am attempting to import a driver set into our OSD task sequence.
The problem I am having is that any time the OSD sends a reboot command to the PC, it freezes. I can continue the OSD by manually rebooting the computer, but again it just freezes the next time it is set to reboot.
I can even replicate this by cancelling at the password screen in WinPE before even selecting a task sequence leading me to think this model isn't compatible with WinPE 3 or something but can't find any solid evidence.
Any ideas?
I have tried using a boot cd with no drivers, with only networking, with networking/storage/chipset drivers and with the whole WinPE 3 pack from Dell.
Any ideas from those smarter than I!?

Adam I can confirm this is also and issue with WinPe4 after trying a new T7810 OSD from both SCCM 2007 and 2012 R2 even basic OS only causes the issue. Ive checked all setings in BIOS with no joy so would love for someone to point us in the right direction.

Update to latest BIOS version did not assist either.

Have you try to change hard disk operating mode from Raid to AHCI in BIOS?

How do I know which are the required drivers? Which one should I delete?

Hey Ent3r,
I just used the full SCCM driver pack from Dell, I did not need to remove anything from the set, merely change the hdd mode in the BIOS to AHCI.
Cheers

Hi,
This issue sounds similar to one I am experiencing - ttp://en.community.dell.com/techcenter/enterprise-client/f/4448/t/19620284 which has not been answered.
Just what is going on with the T5810 storage controllers? Is it getting confused and picking the wrong driver?
I cant set my boot mode to AHCI since i have a RAID mirror.
My winpe boot media has no trouble seeing the disk, so i dont understand why I'm having problems with my target image.
