reading virtual centera media replicated in another DX Server

Hi all.

This environment is basically:

02 sites, Windows 2003 file servers, Centera media services and DiskXtender 6.5.x.

Details about each site:

SITE A

DX Server A

Extended disk: D

Centera A

SITE B

DX Server B

Extended disk: E

Centera B

- DiskXtender is installed on both sites (both are active sites) and the files from the extended

drives are migrated to the Centera located in each site.

- The sites are not clustered, which means that DX Server A and DX server B are

stand-alone/independent file servers.

- At site A, the extended disk D migrates files to its local Centera A. After that, these data are

replicated to site B (Centera B). The same dataflow happens at site B, having site A as its DR/Backup

site.

- Assuming that site A becomes unavailable, I am able to ¿move¿ the extended drive D

from site A to site B, so at this point the DX Server B will be the owner of both extended disks (Disk D and

its original disk E).

So my question is:

As the Centera B has the replicated data from Centera A, is there a way to configure the DX Server B to

recognize this extended drive D (from site A) as a DX driver, and start fetching data from Centera B as

users access their files? The main point is that the extended drive E (the original extended drive

from site B) has to keep working, so I cannot follow the documented DR solution of exporting DX server

A configuration and importing it into DX server B.

How can I read centera virtual media with data replicated from site A (Centera A) on DiskXternder on site B (Centera B)?

Best regards,

Fernando
