Best practice of removing DX

We are currently migrating data from the Centera to our Isilon, and we have a Windows 2008 fileserver with DX 6.5 installed.  I need to confirm the steps to remove DX.

Hello Moose ,

Nice username BTW.  Anyway you'll essentially have to do pass-through reads of all the stubs on the DX server and write the combined data to Isilon using a host-based copy utility.  You have to be extremely careful when doing this as if the DX server isn't on Server 2008 64-bit, and not on the latest 64-bit DX build version with a lot of RAM we've seen some serious stability issues with DX itself when doing bulk recalls like this.  Best to throttle to as fast as is stable the copies.  Meaning start with 1 (thread or whatever metric you can use), and then ramp up until it crashes, then go back a step until it's stable.  Disclaimer: I work for Datadobi, and all we do is NAS and object data migrations.  If you want to discuss this further of course certainly feel free to reach out.
