XPS 8500 hard drive cage - Dell Part # ?
I picked up an XPS 8500 used, but it's missing the 3.5" hard drive cage(2 drives).
I've been unable to locate a DPN for this anywhere.
Anyone have that info? Are replacements available from Dell?
Thanks,
John R

XPS 8500 Owner's Manual
PDF
Primary Drive mounts directly to the case via the standard 4 screws on the bottom of a 3.5 inch drive.
2nd Drive hangs from 3 screws via the bracket.
So you could mount 2X 2.5 inch drives then use silverstone bracket to mount them the same way. The 8700 drive bracket visually looks exactly the same IMHO.

Not sure of the part number or if it is available from dell.
I wonder if the 8500 drive cage is the same as the 8700. Here's one on eBay.

I suggest eBay. That's where I source nearly all my spare Dell parts.

Thanks all who answered. Turns out the case is just missing the 2nd drive cage assembly - which I won't be needed. Thanks again! JR
