Hi mimoboy,
I understand you are getting this message once the system boots. This message comes when system tries to boot from the network. Please post a screenshot of your Boot Sequence in BIOS as if harddrive is set to boot first you should not be getting this message.
Also, let us know the complete error message that you receive on the system regarding the cover so we can check the same advise you further.

Hi MIMOBOY,
Thanks for providing us this information. Its quite strange to see that system is attempting to boot from the network even when harddrive is selected as first boot device. Please update the BIOS of the system from the link below:

If you have recently added any hardware on the system then let us know. Keep us posted with the results so we can advise you further.

Hi MIMOBOY,
I appreciate the time and effort that you took to troubleshoot the issue. I understand that even after updating the BIOS as well you are still getting the same message.
Please let me know if there is a network cable plugged into the system. Kindly disconnect the same and let us know if it helps. Also, if the similar issue persists then kindly disable the network/ethernet card in the BIOS and check again to boot the system.
You are most welcome and we appreciate your efforts in the same.
Keep us posted with the results so we can advise you further.

Looks like a spare power cable, its not an uncommon sight in Dell desktop computers.
You can use it if you get a second hard drive for instance.

I have several OptiPlex 755 DT systems in the lab which are the same as yours and the cable you are holding in the picture is a spare power cable.
The part that you have circled in red, I'm not sure what it is.
However I have powered up most the units without the computer cover on quite often and never got any warning in the BIOS.
I also see no mention of it in the manual.

Hi MIMOBOY,
Its great to hear that you are not getting the message now at the boot. However, let us know the exact message or a screenshot of the cover message you are getting on the system.
As natakuc4 is right in stating that you can switch on any system without the cover as well and it should be able to boot properly without any message. Keep us posted with the results so we can advise you further.
Thanks and Regards
Sandeep P

This message appears if the computer cover has been removed. This behavior is part of the intrusion detection feature of the OptiPlex computer. The intrusion detection feature is designed to enhance security.
when i say this Alert! is for the cover and this picture and the button is to tell the BIOS sys that the cover has been removed .....etc
I was Right :emotion-1:
what i know about OptiPlex computer that Dell made it well
and this is a wonderful part in this computer in my opinion
i will try to follow this instructions
and tell you what i got
Note: this instructions not for my 755 but i think it will be helpful
I can't thank you enough for helping me
