Reusing Old CPU Heatsink For New Motherboard

I have an XPS 400 in which I plan on replacing its BTX board with a new Micro ATX board. The case doesn't support Micro ATX because of its age so I will be using wood to prop it up and keep it in place if need be as I still need to do some measuring. Im curious as to if it would be possible for me to reuse the old heatsink and keep it in place in any way possible?

Apologies for not being able to provide a picture of my own heatsink, the ones I took were more than 500 KB.
