"Real" SAMSUNG DDR PC2700 RAM

I want to buy 512MB of Samsung-manufactured DDR PC2700 memory. Most places advertise Samsung "chips" or "chipset" but do not indicate who manufactured the circuit boards or actually "built" the module.

Does anyone know a reliable vendor where I can buy the "real deal," i.e., Samsung-MANUFACTURED memory modules?

Many thanks,

Scarlett

"try newegg.com they have every flavor of samsung original you would want."

I have--and they don't! If you can provide a link to the 512MB Samsung DDR PC2700 RAM at newegg.com, I will try it again.

BTW, Newegg is one of the places that advertises "Samsung IC Chipset."

Thanks for the reply!

Let me amend my previous post: I have tried newegg.com, and they do not have the Samsung 512MB DDR PC2700 memory in stock. They DO have a listing for it, however.

This is what strikes me as odd:

They list 512MB Samsung DDR PC2100 RAM, in-stock, $95, but they list 512MB Samsung DDR PC2700 RAM, out-of-stock, $78! Which seems to beg the question, when they get the PC2700 memory back in stock, will the price then jump to $95 or more?

Since my computer has a 400MHz FSB, it will run only at 266MHz, so PC2100 memory will work. However, it shipped from Dell with 128MB of Samsung PC2700 RAM, and I am trying to add identical memory.

I really like newegg.com. I like their merchandise, and I like their shipping--very efficient. I would like to do business with them, but I don't like "bait and switch" tactics, assuming that's what this is. I just went through that with Fry's, and I am still angry! :-)

If you know of any other vendors who might have this RAM in stock, please let me know.

Thanks again,

Scarlett

You could try  www.computer-memory-store.com .

I was very happy with the customer service and quick delivery.

Added 256MB to Dell 8200 (Samsung), added 512MB to Another Dell 8200 (Samsung)

I did notice the 512MB price was up $20 since I ordered two weeks ago.

I hope they have what you need at a good price.

Best of Luck
