need serial port for optiplex 390 sff

can anybody help

I need a serial port for my new optiplex 390.

is there a connector on the motherbord for com1?

Have a look at page 84 in the manual which says there's one PS2/COM connector 24-pin connector on the motherboard.

Alternative might be to install a low profile card with a serial port in the PCI-e x1 slot, assuming it's not currently in use.

And the bottom of page 58 shows the BIOS settings available for the serial port.
