Keyboard ENTER key on number pad functioning as TAB key. Dell support cannot resolve
Got 4 new Dimensions in with standard Dell wired keyboard. The Enter key on the keyboard's number pad area (bottom right) functions as a Tab key, not enter. Tried another wired and wireless Dell keyboards with same result. Cannot find anything in BIOS for same. Any resolution any user has found? The Dell support line was not able to find a resolution.

In that case, are you sure XP is set up for the right Regional and Language settings? Open the Regional and Language settings control panel and make sure it's set to your correct location and version of (English) on every tab. On the Languages tab, you have to click the Details button and dig around using all available buttons and tabs. Some of these settings are cryptic and burried 4-5 layers deep in XP (thank you Mr. Microsoft!).

the shift key seems to work fine with all other keys just not the @ key, did you find a solution to your problem in the end?

Sounds like you need to change the Regional and Language control panel settings to your correct location.
