Inspiron 660 POST problem
After cloning my STS system drive to a WD drive (with Macrium), I wanted to see if I could boot the clone. The WD did not show up as a UEFI boot option in the BIOS; I went into disk drives, where it was recognized, and moved it into the first position (STS now second). And that's where my troubles began.
It fails POST. I've got the Dell logo, but F2 no longer gets the BIOS' attention. I disconnected all cables, removed power, and held the power button in for a good while, to no avail. I repeated, this time disconnecting the WD, STS, and CD drive. Now, I got 5 beeps; "real time clock failure". Thinking this might be the 2032 coin battery, I replaced it. Same thing. I reconnected all the drives, and I'm back to no beeps, but stuck on the Dell logo.
What are my next steps?

Yes - it turned out to be a bad MoBo. I had it replaced, and all is now well.

How much did it cost to replace the Mobo?
It's good to know that the issue can be resolved.
