.ico Icon of Dell Logo?
hi .. not a hardware issue, but I wonder if anyone has a .ico icon for the Dell logo.
I have tried, unsucessfully to make one.

Here's something even easier...!
Just search your hard drive for .ico files. You'll find quite a few different Dell icons in various folders. On my Win XP system, there are several different Dell icons in the C:\Dell folder, but the path on your system may differ, depending on what version of Windows Dell installed.
Write down the location of the one you want to use and when you change the icon for that folder, use the Browse feature to migrate to the path you wrote down. Assign that icon to your folder and you're done!
You can use one icon for several things, but it can get confusing if you assign the same one to too many things.

Make a picture whose size is 8x8, 16x16, or 32x32 pixels and save it, setting the file type to bitmap and adding ".ico" at the end of the file name.

For the things I keep on my desktop in folders, I like to use custom icons so I can find them easily. I have a folder with my service tag and express service code and I want to put the dell logo on the folder ... so there's my answer .. do you have one?

Sometimes creating a file and simply adding the extention ICO doesn't work ... in that event, use convertico.com to create it from a graphic file.

hi Ron ... gave this search another try .. makes sence that there is a Dell icon somewhere on my PC .. and there it was! Don't know how I missed it.
