Dell xps 420 front panel not detected error
Long story short I'm attempting to fix an issue with my computer that happened awhile ago, and I just never got around to repairing. Basically at start up, the Dell screen has blue lines through it and when it gets to the black screen there are exclamation points all over the screen.(See attached picture) Now, normally I would assume this is a video card issue, but when I did the diagnostic it says that the front panel is not detected(though it's spelled odd like "Froot qaoel oot detected")

Both are secure. Upon restart and another diagnostic test, I no longer receive the front panel error, but am getting an error code that leads me to believe it is, in fact, the video card. Ugh.

There's a greay colored ribbton cable that runs from the front panel to the motherboard. It plugs into the motherboard in the corner of the motherboard up by the power supply. Make sure that both ends are securely plugged in.
