Dell power cables for pc and monitor mixed up

i am in the uk and have just bought a new dimension pc from dell. unfortuantly i have the two power cables , one sent with the monitor and one with the pc . i have mixed them up and i am now not sure which one is for what piece of equipment. both seem to have the same pin connector at the end . does it matter which one i use .please help thanks

meh, it shouldn't matter at all so long as it fits.  those power cables are fairly generic -- it's the things with AC blocks attached that you want to avoid mixing up

Make sure you switch the little toggle to 220 volts on the back of the power supply for your computer, otherwize you'll fry something. The monitor I belive is autosensing but don't quote me on it.
The two power cables are the same meaning they can be used for the monitor or for the computer. Lastly you can either get adapters to fit the USA style prong adapters to what you have in UK or go to a computer store by you and get power cables there, the connectors at the power supply and monitor are industry standard.
