Can't install latest ADM driver from AMD website for W8000 card on T7600 Windows 7 Pro-64Bit

I have software problems.

The latest driver on th eAMD website slove this problem (i hope)

On the dell site, is only a older driver (12.104)

When i install the AMD driver from the amd wedsite, no driver installed for the AMD W8000.

When i install the older driver from the Dell Website, no problem to install

 

Computer 3 weeks old,

AMD.... not feedback

Dell..... do know...  reinstall Windows, defect card.

 

Have the same problem on 2 other T7600 with same card;

Non WHQL Drivers will not install in 64 bit versions of windows.

This means Beta Drivers will not install.  You MUST disable driver signature enforcement windows 7 64 bit to use Beta Drivers.  This requires Pressing F8 every boot and disabling. The digital certificate signed driver is a requirement in Windows 7 64-bit.

Hi kae.koen,

I do not understand what problem you have with your graphics card. Please explain the problem and also tell us the operating system you are using.

Hello and thank you for the explanation.

But this is not the problem, i don't install the beta driver.

I download 13.152.4-whql-x32x64-163380.exe, and then

  • Test one, just run the exe for a update >> no update of driver.
  • Then un-install the driver (windows device manager)
    • Reboot
    • Startup with/in Windows VGA modus
    • Run the EXE from the AMD  website
    • It run with no error, all ok message
    • Reboot
    • Windows stay's in VGA modus
    • No AMD driver installed
    • If you press in devive manager >>>  update driver >>> best driver according windows on system VGA
    • If you go to the AMD map, no driver found.
  • If i run the Dell driver, works from the first time (after reboot)

Dell OEM Cards will not work with Generic Drivers.

You would have to modify the INF file.

In doing so this would invalidate the Driver signature.

13.152.4-whql-x32x64-163380.exe is the AMD OpenCL driver.

OpenCL is not just Video card related it also requires specific motherboard Chipset support.

Dell will only support the Dell Driver on the Precision T7600
