using wildcards in DPA reports in v6.1

In previous versions of DPA when SQL was used as the back end database I was able to use square brackets to enter wildcards into report condition/variable to save typing, for example if I wanted clients abc123 abc124 and abc126 to be used I could put abc12[346] in the report variables and I would get the relevant information for the three clients.

How do I achieve the same thing for v6.1?

Just giving your question a bump, as I have just (re)deployed DPA 6.1 and have the same issue.

Hopefully, someone will chime in!
