DD2500 Service not Available

Hello,

I found this guide docu98904 (dell.com) but after installing the MDU, I can no longer access the GUI :( Before the MDU installation it was working smoothly. Is there a way i can restore it to the previous working OS. DD-bundle is the MDU, ddr was the working OS.

Tried to download the 7.x rpm below, but cannot download as it might solve the issue.

That has 3 downloads.

  1. The MDU rpm (mdu-upgrade-bundle-6.2-releases.rpm) -- which downloads fine and was applied to DDVE
  2. The 7.1.x upgrade rpm (7.1.0.20-653994.rpm) -- does not download
  3. The 7.2.x upgrade rpm (7.2.0.5-653470.rpm) -- does not download

For both of the upgrade rpm's that do not download, it just links to a page (https://dl.dell.com/content/docu98543 and https://dl.dell.com/content/docu98529) that both say "Invalid Product".

Please let me know how can i restore it. Thank you!

Regards,

Mark

dd2500's cannot be updated beyond ddos6.2. So ddos7.x is not possible.

But what is the reference to having applied the MDU to DDVE? DD virtual edition? So what are we dealing with here a DDVE or still a DD2500?

what ddos version is it currently running, as I assume you can still login via SSH and run CLI commands?

https://www.dell.com/support/kbdoc/en-us/000157677?lang=en does not state a dd2500 as supported, only :

DDOS 7.2 & AboveDD3300, DD4200, DD4500, DD6300, DD6800, DD6900, DD7200, DD9300, DD9400, DD9500, DD9800, DD9900, and DDVE

while your link https://dl.dell.com/content/docu98904 also doesn't mention a DD2500...

Any idea or procedure how can I rollback the installation of mdu-upgrade-bundle-6.2-releases.rpm since the filesystem is still accessible and running?

Appreciate the reply. Thank you!
