Yet another Best Buy open box warranty transfer problem
I purchased an open box Inspiron I7568-2867T from Best Buy last week. I discovered that the touchscreen does not work while in tablet mode. I registered the product with Dell, seemingly without any problems, and after that I upgraded all drivers, bioses, firmware, software, etc. from Dell's driver website, and all the Windows drivers I could find. It still doesn't work. My next step was to contact Dell on their website chat, and they told me they could not help me because the laptop is registered to the last owner, and that I would need to have it transferred from the owner themselves. Best Buy did not provide this information, and I need to get this thing fixed!
I see this has been a problem in the past, can someone please help me with this issue?

Hi sellsoncl,
Thanks for posting.
Best Buy should warranty the product for you, unless you are outside their warranty period. Please check with them. http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Misc/Geek-Squad-Certified-Open-Box/pcmcat311300050024.c?id=pcmcat311300050024
If you need additional assistance, contact me privately.
Regards,
Robert
