Premium Warranty, doesn't cover motherboard water damage
I have premium warrantee on my laptop. A Dell tech came to my house and took my computer apart. He said there was a sign of water damage to my motherboard that needs replacing. I don't concede it is water damage and I wonder what good an extended premium warrantee is if it doesn't cover computer repair? My tech was Bradley F. I wish to know what Dell is going to do about this?

A premium warranty doesn't necessarily cover accidental damage -- that requires a separate insurance coverage (Complete Care).

@ejn63 No. And I was never informed of any other coverages. Why would I pay so much each year for a warrantee that does not offer adequate coverage. This is reminiscent of the old cellphone warrantees where there were inadequate coverages of the time and people started leaving. If there was a higher level of coverage I should have been informed.

There may or may not be insurance availability -- it isn't offered in some markets.

Im in the USA. Seems a rather misleading situation to sell premium ongoing warrantee that doesn't cover damage. I purchased to highest available insurance.

Why would anyone purchase a premium warrantee for an extended period if it doesn't cover damage. Rather a waste of money. And the response doesn't advise if this is a Dell representative or just some board <Attacking verbiage deleted. DELL-Admin>.
