Impossible Price Match
Can someone please help me understand how the price match works? I found a desktop on laptopsdirect.co.uk matching every key specification available for desktops and also matched with the Dell-approved price match retailer.
From what I was informed, in order to price match Alienware desktop it must be one of the Dell-approved retailers, all key specs must match or better, and the model must be exactly the same too. Therefore in order to price match Alienware, it must be Apple, HP, or Lenovo selling Alienware on their retail website. Is that even possible?

All requirements are covered but I have still been declined.
I went back to the same advisor and he explained it's because it's not the exact same Brand.

You're missing the point that they'll only price match an identical system -- not a system built by another manufacturer. No Toyota dealer will price match against a Honda Accord -- and Dell isn't going to price match against a "boutique" builder like Cyberpower.
There are advantages and disadvantages to every system -- beyond the price, when you buy a "boutique" system, it's built with off-the-shelf standard parts, so it's going to be far easier to upgrade later on than any Alienware system will. The downside is that you trade the flashy Alienware chassis for a more standard-looking tower.
You pay your money according to your priorities, but you won't get a price match for an Alienware other than for an authorized seller of another Alienware.

I get where you come from and I do not disagree with the fact Alienware has a unique casing design. However, none of the companies Dell mentioned (Apple, HP, or Lenovo) sell Alienware chassis but Alienware it is still part of the Price Match Guarantee. It just doesn't make sense how can it be covered under the Price Match Guarantee when the 3 other companies Dell mentioned don't sell Alienware range or other Dell manufacturer systems on their website to fulfill the identical requirement. So it's impossible to price match.
