I am beyond frustrated!
Can anyone please direct me as to who can help me with one of the most ridiculous and quite frankly offensive situation I am in?
Essentially, I needed to ship my Alienware Aurora R15 back to Dell because the SSD drive they sent me did not have an OS loaded. After multiple phone calls with support AND me having to manually install the OS myself, it still would not work. I then was getting issues trying to install the OS after finally getting it on a separate USB drive and THEN the monitor kept blacking out etc.
Instead of sending a new video card and having a tech come to my home, they also suggested I send it in so they can do a full check up and fix whatever the issue was. That sounded great to me. So at 3pm on Sep 11 I get an email stating that the warranty would not cover the issue which floored me because I upgraded the warranty when purchased and was told in the email that someone would reach out to me. No one did of course so I (the customer) was forced to call them. I was then shocked to be told that one of the RAM sticks was 3rd party, not Dell and was not covered by my warranty! WHAT? So the RAM you sent me is not Dell RAM? <Profanity is never allowed on our Forum. DELL-Admin>. I then became angry as I spent over $5000 for this unit, EVERYTHING was top of the line and magically I would take ONE STICK OF RAM that was DELL top of the line, replace is with something else and THEN send my entire PC back to DELL for them to check it out and find it? Does this make sense to anyone? I tried to logically express this but the person I was speaking to in India said they could only email the repair facility in the US ASKING FOR A PICTURE OF THE RAM! So, let me get this straight, the repair facility says I cannibalized my TOP OF THE LINE PC with inferior RAM and their solution was to get a picture? Well, today is the 16th and so far no picture and I was told AGAIN in an email that they asked them to "expedite the picture". Are you kidding me? How hard is it to take a picture and forward it?
This is my second Alienware and this situation is making me trust and appreciate Dell less and less! I am trying this avenue for help because the Indian IT folks are no help to get to anyone that can help the customer and instead seem to be at the mercy of repair folks in the US. I just want my computer back and to be honest want it back the way it is supposed to be the way I PAID FOR it a few months ago. I am outraged and offended that they would automatically assume the customer would cannibalize items KNOWINGLY send the PC back etc. Can someone help me please?
