Forum Code of Conduct

If you’re here to get help, we recommend you make it as easy as possible for others to help you. Here are some guidelines which some find helpful, and remember that our community is made possible by volunteer contributors and Superusers.

If your product is still in-warranty, you will be serviced by a Dell agent as soon as possible. If you're asked for a service tag, please provide this number and your post will be routed to a Dell agent. Find your Service Tag

If you’re here to help others, please do so in good spirit and with positive intentions. Even if those intentions include your becoming the Lord of the Badges, please participate in our community with an understanding that we are all here to help one another.

Be inclusive and respectful. Please avoid sarcasm when able. Utilize gender-neutral language when uncertain whom you're corresponding with, and always advise us of anyone abusing the community by flagging and/or reporting content. Please don't put anyone down or be negative on their attempt to attain help. If a situation makes it hard to be friendly, we recommend you stop interacting and move on.

No name calling or personal attacksFocus on the content, not the person. We don’t tolerate any language likely to offend or alienate people based on race, gender, sexual orientation, or religion — and those are just a few examples. Use stated pronouns (when known). When in doubt, don't use language that might offend or alienate.

No harassmentThis includes, but isn’t limited to: bullying, intimidation, vulgar language, direct or indirect threats, sexually suggestive remarks, patterns of inappropriate social contact, and sustained disruptions of discussion. Dell reserves the right to remove your profile and content without advising you and with immediate effect should you be found in violation of the latter.
