Documentation Anti-Piracy Statement

We purchased eight (8) of the P2324 Display Monitor to support a government contract with the US Navy.  You provided the COTS documentation for this product with the HW and we need to obtain a letter from Dell (as the OEM) to our Government Procurement Contracting Officer providing permission for the US Navy to reproduce this manual specifically for training and/or maintenance purposes. This is a US Navy requirement we need to meet contractual requirements imposed by the DFARS section 252.227-7015.

The Dell Anti-Piracy statement specifically states, “At Dell, we believe that content owners have the right to protect their property from theft. That's why Dell is working with the content industry to make digital content widely available while protecting it through strategies that meet consumer expectations. Piracy is best addressed through consumer education, the enforcement of current copyright laws and new technologies and business models that make legal access to digital content easy, convenient and affordable for consumers to purchase.”

CAE is requesting permission to allow the US Navy to reproduce the User’s guide manual and quick start guide for training and maintenance purposes only.

If you can assist me by providing written permission for the Navy to reproduce this manual I can satisfy this US Navy DFARS requirement.  I have example letters from other OEMs who have provided limited duplication permission letters if you need them. Alternatively, if you could reply back to me stating duplication is authorized for our customers limited use shown above I would appreciate it.

Regards,
