why I have Zero aliases after Merge?

i added new switch to the fabric "doesnot have and zoning DB"

and after merge

i Have zero aliases in the New swicth..how can I bring them from to the new swicth ?

OLD SWITCH "Principle"

VSAN: 2 default-zone: deny distribute: active only Interop: default
    mode: basic merge-control: allow
    session: none
    hard-zoning: enabled broadcast: disabled
Default zone:
    qos: none broadcast: disabled ronly: disabled
Full Zoning Database :
    DB size: 9808 bytes
    Zonesets:1  Zones:55 Aliases: 65
Active Zoning Database :
    DB size: 3728 bytes
    Name: Production  Zonesets:1  Zones:55
Status: Activation completed at 23:46:20 UTC Nov 25 2010

My New switch

it's because your distribution is set to active zoneset only, you can enable full zoneset distribution as mentioned in that thread.  I would first run it on the old switch and then on the new one.

zoneset distribute full vsan 2

actually i am going to run it next week..just wanted to make sure it will bring the aliases..thanks Dynamox

Yes, running :

config# zoneset distribute vsan 2

is enough to update the fcalias info to the new switch
