Difference between fast boot and boot for a Brocade FC Switch ?

When I have made the changes in a Brocade SW200E FC Switch, I have to reboot the switch before the changes effective.

I find that there are 2 options - Fast Boot and Boot. I would like to know what is the difference between them ? Which one should I choose ?

Thanks

fastboot is only available for bladed systems (like 48000). The difference between fastboot and reboot is when you issue fastboot the switch does not go through your typical POST process by doing that the switch reboots a lot faster, while regular reboot command will force the switch to go through POST, hence longer reboot time. Regardless of the command you use, hosts attached to this switch will lose connectivity. Hopefully you got your hosts dual connected and a licensed version of PowerPath is in place :D
