Can you connect Fabric Mgr directly to the greyed out switch ? So when you start FM, do not click on the core switch, but create a new entry for this greyed out switch (you might have to delete the entry for the core switch first).

Are you seeing the switch grayed out in Device or Fabric Manager? In Fabric Manager it means the switch or at least some modules are offline. In Fabric Manager it means that there is a connection problem to the switch (it could be the switch is offline, firewall blocking certain ports, etc.).

Thank you.

I have the same problem. Can see everything, inventory, hardware, security, but on the main screen all the ports are greyed out
