Cisco Fabric Manager to email alerts for MDS 9000

I'm told that I can use Cisco FM (unlicensed) to send email on selected alerts. So far I've been unable to figure out how. Is anyone doing this? My switches are running 3.3(1C)  if it matters.

Hello,

The FM based EMC Email Home for Cisco MDS config guide is only available to EMC field.   If you plan to configure your switches for email home you need to engage your local EMC field support personnel.   The main reason for this is that the field needs to ensure the switches are correctly configured in our systems to accept the emails from the switches.   Without the correct configuration the emails will be disregarded by our front end rule server.

Thank you.

Hello,

Yes, there are a variety of options on how to configure FM to send out email alerts.   Are you looking to send them to yourself or to EMC?

Thank you.

Right now I'm testing so just to an internal address. I will be adding the EMC suport email address soon. We are Implementing the EMC Securre Remote Support and this is the proposed solution for the switches. I'll check out the cookbook Yousef suggested.
