Add RHEL to Cisco SAN Switch
Just a note.. all I have is the CLI (no Fabric Manager) on the Cisco MDS.
I'm adding a RHEL 5.8 box to the SAN. HBA cards are configured in the server, wired up to the Cisco SAN Switch. Now I'm stuck on this whole "zoning" thing so the server can see the DMX4. On the switch:

Thats the WWN of one of the HBA cards in the RHEL server. So the switch sees the card.
I'm lost from here.

Basically, how do I get this server logged into the SAN? I also need to name the pwwn like he did the others. I would assume I would join the new pwwn to the 201 VSAN since thats where mostly everything is. But I'm completely lost anyway, so I probably don't even know what I'm talking about.

cool, so let's go through the steps:
1) Create fcalias for each HBA
config t
fcalias name newserver vsan 201
member pwwn 10:00:00:00:c9:96:XX:XX
exit
end
2) Create zone
config t
zone name zone_newserver_dmx4 vsan 201
member fcalias newserver
member fcalias dmx4alias
exit
3) Add zone to active zone set
to view current zoneset name run this command: sh zoneset vsan 201 | grep "zoneset name"
config t
zoneset name vsan 201
member zone_newserver_dmx4
end
4) Active zoneset
config t
zoneset activate name vsan 201
sh zoneset active vsan 201

ok, so first thing you need to do is to move these servers ports into VSAN 201 and VSAN 202. Do you know how to do that ?

where did you get thsi WWN from ?..should'n't it start with 10 ?
