What is Drive Line Enterprise Plus?
COMPELLENT Must be Drive line Enterprise Plus
What does this mean for the hard drive and how can I find that information from the UEFI Boot manager where I can run Test and Diagnosis on the Hardware?
Or is there a way to check the firmware for the hard drive? Explain Step by Step Process!

Hello thanks for choosing Dell. Enterprise Plus is for older models-One way to tell is we get a hold of the disk part # and the SCOS version.

you wont be able to find that information anywhere other then in a compellent machine that i am aware of. you have to plug the drive into the compellent machine and then access the CLI from there you would run the following command
#> disk get *diskIndexNumber
example #>disk get 17
from there you are looking at what it says for attribute 120 driveLine, this could be enterprise plus or enterprise value
to best of my knowledge i will try to explain the difference,
I have a working theory and some one can correct me if i am wrong. My theory is that the labeling scheme follows this pattern...
Spool HDD >> can be enterprise drive << upgraded drive vs consumer drive
Spool HDD >> can be enterprise PLUS drive << probably means its upgraded drive, less prone to failures / data center use
SSD >> enterprisevalue << upgraded SSD drive for data centers
in my experience i have seen a SSD come up as enterpiseplus and then get flashed with new firmware changing it to be enterprise value in the system.

Thank you all. I was hoping to get that information using a 3rd party wiping software..
I will have to look for a Compellent machine and try the steps.
Thank you!

@M-Abbas to the best of my ability drive line stands for DRIVE LINEUP. The drive lineup is a reference to table in the Compellent system that it uses to check to see if the drive is a valid Compellent drive. To put it another way the table has a list or lineup and if the drive is in the list / lineup it is a valid Compellent drive.
