Previously working Refurbished *No Copilot* SCV2020,- failed Initial configuration

Purchased this device a year ago, configured no problem.  Recently we started a project to rebuild the SCV2020 with bigger and faster drives for a test environment refresh.  Reset to factory default *had many problems here* didnt realize you have to turn off support assist*.  After resetting, logged into Storage Manager, connected to configure, and it came up with an error trying to write the config to the controller. The error on showed failed to configure controller 0.0.0.0 .. or something like that.  I try to reboot the device, and now it is no longer discoverable.

Next, I read in the forums on how to do this via the console port * i have the cable* and now it is asking for a password. After reboot, i am connected via putty and I typed the password that I configured in the initial setup and it doesn't work.

I reboot again and this time I watch the post:

ANY clues on how to resolve this?  Again, I do not have copilot for this SAN.

I think I figured this one out. It was the bottom controller. It failed to initialize during setup and this has caused the issues. I still have 2 months left on the warranty. Gonna quickly replace them and buy an extra controller.

Hello TreyKC,

Looking at the output that you posted, the system is posting correctly until you get to the controllers then it is giving the error.  Your assessment of one of your controllers not working is what I would say as well.  If we had a phone home log from your system or support can use secure console into your system, support can see if it is the controller or something else that made the controller not reload the OS correctly.

Please let us know if you have any other questions.
