Compmsadb log file - continual growth

Hello,

I am hoping some here might be able to help me.

The log file for the compmsadb database keeps growing and growing, no matter what settings I change for the Data Collector for log and alert retention. In SQL Server Management Studio, if I try to shrink the file, there is only 200MB or so that will free up. The current log file is over 240GB is size, while the database itself is only around 6GB. 

I've contacted CoPilot support a couple of different times about this, and they were not able to help on the SQL side, and that's understandable. All they are ever able to suggest is to reduce the number of days for retaining log files.
