After bad disk replacement. New disk status as NOT LICENSED. Help?
After a bad disk replacement, a new disk does not appear as "available", and the new disk description shows the message "Not Licensed".
What can i do to resolve this?
Equipment without maintenance contract and out of warranty!
Dell Compellent SC220 -
Original removed disc:
900GB / 10K / 2.5 -PN: 005J9P (Firmware CE0D)
Installed Disk:
900GB / 10K / 2.5 -PN: 005J9P (Firmware CE0B)

Hi,
The disk firmware are bundled into SCOS update package itself.

No! It was purchased by external suppliers!
But they are Dell disks!
I have not found any documentation from Dell about restricting disk firmware levels for this device!
