Setup software & documentation

Forgive me if this is too long.  I am new to this office, my predecessor setup an AX4-5i storage system many years ago.  This was replaced by a new SAN two tears ago. The AX4-5i sat for the last few years, disconnected.  I have been tasked with getting this going for additional space.

Through a browser I have been able to log into the AX4-5i system, configure the Disk Pools, create Virtual Disks and Hot Spares.  I have also setup a new Server 2012 R2.  There is So Much documentation on this product, I am confused, is there a simple step-by-step process?  Here are my questions:

1). What software do I need to install on the Server 2012 R2?
2). Is there a simple setup document I can follow to get the drives setup & shared

The AX4-5i is the iSCSI version of the AX4. There are four iSCSI ports (two for each Storage Processor). The below link should re-direct you to a site where you can run a wizard to select the items you what that will create a document to help you setup the AX4 and a host.

Note that the AX4 was introduced prior to Windows 2008/2012. When you get to the section on selecting a server, you will only be able to select Windows 2003. It may or may not work with 2012 but as it's using iSCSI it may work.

One thing to be aware of is that when using iSCSI, you must disable TCP Delayed ACK on the host for best performance. See the following link on how to do this:

Windows, see https://support.emc.com/kb/468345 - Recommended TCP/IP settings for Microsoft iSCSI configurations to fix slow performance

For more information about using iSCSI see the following article:
