you cannot span boot volume with any other volumes, even if it's local storage

hey Karl , its just a doubt that I have .
Lets say I have a windows 2008 server which has a locally attached 100 GB C: hard drive .
Now if I provide a 50gb lun from a vnx/clariion to the windows 2008 server ,
Can C drive be expanded using the 50 gb lun ???
I just wanted to know if a locally attached drive can be san expanded ..

Some commercial software might be able to resize the boot partition, such as Acronis Disk Director. But I'm not sure if it works on SAN storage.
