Clariion CX4-120 Question on Pool LUN Creation

Hi all,

I have a Pool with the following:

RAID 5 Type

Physical Capcity

User capacity 11600.708 GB

Consumed Capacity 11598.708 GB

Virtual capacity

Percent Subscribed 77.6814%

Total Subscribed Capacity: 9011.550GB

There are already 2 Thick LUNs configured. There was a 3rd LUN configured, it was Thin LUN. I deleted that and now I would like to use again the free space I have, but if I try to use it creating a new LUN I cannot see the free space..

Suggestions?

Hi all,

I have solved creating a thin LUN sizes 1GB, the unsubscrubed space has been released.

So I deleted that LUN and created a thick LUN 2,5TB sized.

Strange behaviour.

Ciao,

Please consider moving this question as-is (no need to recreate) to the proper forum for maximum visibility.  Questions written to the users' own "Discussions" space don't get the same amount of attention and questions can go unanswered for a long time.

You can do so by selecting "Move" under ACTIONS along the upper-right. prepaid gift balance Then search for and select: "CLARiiON Support Forum" which would be the most relevant for this question.

To answer your question the DAE, pool, LUNs, hosts, etc associated with the failed drive will remain "Faulted" (circled letter "F" as seen in Navi/Unisphere) until it is replaced.  Then once replaced, the data is copied from the hot spare to the replacement drive and during this process the objects will show status "Transitioning" (circled letter "T" as seen in Navi/Unisphere) until the equalization is completed.
