ax4-5f and raid migrations
Hi All
I am most likely out of luck but is there a way to perform an inplace radi migration from raid5 to raid 6?

Are you referring this for whole AX4-5 or some particular LUNs or RAID Groups?

I have 4 raid groups each as 11 drive raid 5 arrays and I was windering the possibility of an inplace upgrade of those 4 raid groups to raid 6. Each raid group has 4 luns carved out of them.

Nope, not possible. Moreover, even if you take a back up and thinking to restore all the LUNs after resetting the Configuration to Factory please, be aware that total user capacity will be less than what you are getting in RAID 5.

If you have unused disks, you could create a new Raid 6 raid group, then use LUN Migration to move the LUNs to the new raid group, but you can not convert an existing raid group to a different Raid Type.
