Replacing 9222i with 9250i

Suppose I have 2 sites with a IVR routing 9222i on each side of the dark fiber (transit VSAN) and I want to upgrade these machines with new 9250is. I would add them to the existing fabric first so it "receives" the current zoneset configuration, but eventually I want the 9250 to replace the 9222. So at some point I need to add the new 9250 to the IVR topology and make the 9222 "go away".

ivr vsan-topology database

  autonomous-fabric-id    1 switch-wwn 20:00:00:50:73:d3:79:40 vsan-ranges 226-227,288,350

  autonomous-fabric-id    1 switch-wwn 20:00:00:0e:ec:83:62:c0 vsan-ranges 208,213,225,250,350

VSN 350 is my transit VSAN, so that's why it appears on both switches. Each of the wwns represents one of the 9222s I currently have on each side.

Would it be as simple as to negate the switch I want to pull out of the fabric? Like this:

no   autonomous-fabric-id    1 switch-wwn 20:00:00:0e:ec:83:62:c0 vsan-ranges 208,213,225,250,350

And then manually add the new switch in by typing the line I just negated, replacing the wwn with the switch wwn of the new 9250?

And will the remaining 9222 on the other side automatically know that the old 9222 was replaced with a new 9250?
