regain space after deleting data.
After deleting the data in gateway_cifs , how check space , how to ensure i regain space after deleting data.
Basically how ensure complete data is deleted and gained space back.
Config# show capac avai
Number of nodes: 8
Number of nodes with storage role: 8
Total Raw Capacity: 15 TB (100%)
Used Raw Capacity: 11 TB (77%)
Free Raw Capacity: 3.3 TB (23%)
System Buffer: 675 GB (5%)
Regeneration Buffer: 932 GB (6%)
Available Capacity: 1.8 TB (12%)
Total Object Count: 350 M (100%)

The command is the right one. Space will be reclaimed by the garbage collection process, not immediately after deleting.
As you seem to be quite full, how is your object count utilization doing? The reflections will continue to count towards the used object count.
GC can be run manually using Center Viewer Commands menu. Certain versions have had issues with weekly intervals so be sure to check that the CG state goes back to awaiting scheduled run.
Choose also the Commands menu to get to Garbage Collection.
