Centera SDK 3.2 on SLES 10 SP2 supported?

Hi all

The recent release of the latest SDK states that SuSE Linux Enterprise Server 10 is supported.

Would the SDK also run on SLES10SP2?

Thanks, Holger

Ok glad its fixed

Another variable you need to set is

LD_LIBRARY_PATH

this is actually what I should have stated.  This is the list of all the dirs that are looked in for libraries thyat are loaded.  I think ld.so.conf is something similar (not a great linux man myself!)

Hi all

Just to give you a little more information about my current issue:

I re-installed the SDK on SLES 10 without any service pack.

Download and unpack SDK

ran install as root

ldconfig

ldd /usr/local/Centera_SDK/lib/32/*

libFPStreams32.so, libFPUtils32.so and all the others it tells me => not found

The application I installed isnt't able to open a connection to a cluster.

Any ideas are appreaciated and yes, I am not a Linux guy :-(

Thanks, Holger

Hi Paul

Thank you very much for your reply. The path variable does not include the path to the libraries. I tested it and it didn't help.

From Andy Thomson I got the hint to edit the /etc/ld.so.conf file to include the path. This fixed it.

Thanks, HOlger
